Welcome to Poster Treasures website.

Here you’ll find more than 15.000 German movie posters and concert posters from the 40‘s to the present. All these posters are used and were printed in very limited quantities. None of these posters were available for sale in the year of their origin. They were made exclusively to advertise a movie or a concert. 
Now as before we don’t deal with reproductions, poster prints and overstock posters from the last couple of years. Of most of our posters, we have only 1 or 2 copies available. 
We set a high value on the difference of a first-release and a re-release poster. The price reflects that difference, of course. 
All posters we offer have been selected with care to make sure we can present only the best of every genre. If you can’t find a particular poster on our site, please, let us know. 

Most german movie posters were folded by the distribution company before being shipped to theaters. Many films were shown in the theaters several times within a larger time frame. That's the re-releases you will find in our listings marked with an "R" (with the year of it's renewed appearance behind). These re-release posters mostly have a new design and are much cheaper than the original first issue items. All posters without such an "R" are guaranteed originals. With posters of East Germany, marked with an "EG", you can find the year of the particular appearance behind it. Please note the following: Because of the war years in Europe, many US movies of the 30s and 40s arrived in our theaters for the first time after 1947. Or: some later cult movie needed 10 years or more to make it into German theaters. All posters marked with just one year (the production year) are german original releases. In these cases, the particular poster was issued in the same or in the following year of its production.
